Healthy Bathroom Swaps: My Favorite Non-Toxic Essentials

Updated: 3 hours ago

Making the switch to a healthier, low-tox lifestyle doesn’t have to happen overnight. One of the easiest and most impactful places to start is your bathroom.

From skincare to deodorant and toothpaste, small swaps can make a big difference — both for your health and how you feel day to day. The goal isn’t perfection, it’s progress. Here are some of my favorite tried-and-true, healthier bathroom swaps that I personally use and love.

1. Kossma Beauty — Clean, Nourishing Skincare That Works

I can confidently say I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Kossma Beauty. Their products are thoughtfully formulated with ingredients your skin can actually recognize and use — no synthetic fragrances or harsh fillers.

Here’s what I currently use in my skincare routine:

  • Squalane Facial Oil — deeply hydrating without feeling greasy.

  • Pearl Polish — a gentle exfoliant that leaves my skin soft and glowing.

  • Matcha Tallow Shampoo Bar — cleans without stripping and lasts a couple months!

  • Purely Potent (Non-Oxidizing Vitamin C Serum) — brightens my skin without irritation.

  • Marshmallow Hydrosol — soothing and hydrating; I love using it before the squalane and beauty balm.

  • Chamomile Cleansing Oil — melts away makeup and dirt without drying out my skin.

  • Tallow Beauty Balm — a multitasking moisturizer I use day and night.

  • Tallow Lip Balm — rich and creamy; everyone I have gifted a tube to loves it too!

  • Sovereign Salve — my go-to for any dry patches or irritation.

2. Araza Beauty — Makeup That’s Actually Good for Your Skin

If you’ve been searching for clean makeup that still performs beautifully, Araza Beauty is a must-try. Their Coconut Cream Foundation provides amazing coverage while keeping your skin nourished.

One of my favorite things about Araza? You can email them photos of your skin, and they’ll help you find your perfect shade match! I did this and ended up with shade 200, and it was spot on.

I also love their Coconut Color Glossy Balm — my go-tos are Umber and Nude. They add the perfect touch of color with a smooth, hydrating finish.

3. Primally Pure Charcoal Deodorant — Ditch the Aluminum

If you’re still using conventional deodorant with aluminum, this is your sign to make the switch! I’ve been using Primally Pure’s Charcoal Deodorant for years, and it’s hands-down my favorite.

It keeps odor at bay naturally, without blocking your body’s natural detox process. Plus, they release a holiday scent every year that smells incredible — it’s one of those little things that makes my routine feel special.

4. FYGG Toothpaste — Clean, Effective, and Kid-Approved

Finding a toothpaste that’s clean and leaves your mouth feeling fresh can be tricky, but FYGG Toothpaste checks all the boxes. We’ve loved every flavor we’ve tried:

  • Coconut Cream

  • Vanilla Vibes

  • Mild Mint

It’s also the only mint toothpaste my daughter will use — which is saying something! My teeth always feel squeaky clean without any of the not-so-great-for-you ingredients you find in conventional brands.

5. PlantPaper Toilet Paper — A Better Option for Your Body

This is one of the most overlooked bathroom swaps — toilet paper. Conventional brands often contain bleaches, fragrances, and other additives that you definitely don’t want on the most sensitive parts of your body.

PlantPaper is made without chlorine bleach, dyes, or chemicals that can irritate skin. It’s soft, strong, and gentle — exactly what I want for everyday use.

Final Thoughts

Healthy living doesn’t mean giving up the things you love — it’s about finding better alternatives that support your body and how you want to feel.

These swaps have been part of my own journey toward a more natural lifestyle, and I’ve genuinely noticed a difference in my skin, energy, and overall well-being. Remember, it’s not about replacing everything at once — just start with one swap at a time.

Your future self will thank you. 🌿
